This book is one of the Monographs on the results of the second soil survey in Xinjiang. The detailed information of 344 soil species has been systematically merged and sorted out. Based on the specialty of soil science and the convenience of future development, the data set processor has designed five forms with soil species ID and name as key indexes, which are soil species classification, soil species basic information, typical profile landscape information, typical profile occurrence layer investigation information and physical and chemical property data. These data can be widely and conveniently applied to regional land quality assessment, environmental effect research, soil carbon storage research, etc, It provides significant scientific support for rational utilization of soil resources. Data is stored in Excel, mainly including:1. Xinjiang - soil classification: attributes include soil species ID, name of two common soil species, soil class code, soil class name, soil class name, sub class code, sub class name, soil genus name and sub class name (2009); 2. Xinjiang - basic information of soil species: attributes include soil species ID, soil species name, distribution area, landform, area, land use, parent material, profile configuration, main properties and production performance; 3. Xinjiang - typical profile landscape: attributes include soil species ID, soil species name, typical profile collection location, geographical location, typical profile topography and location, typical profile elevation, typical profile parent material, natural vegetation, land use, typical profile location annual average temperature (℃), typical profile annual precipitation (mm), ≥ 10 ℃ accumulated temperature (℃), ≥ 0 ℃ accumulated temperature (℃), frost
